On the eve of the thirtieth anniversary of her death, in one of the clubs where she made her name, a celebration of the legendary singer-songwriter in words and music.
News of an event I am co-organising at The Troubadour Club, London, on Sunday 20th April 2008: http://www.troubadour.co.uk/programme_view.php?view%5Btype%5D=programme&view%5Bid%5D=1488
With Linda Thompson, Joe Boyd, Martin Carthy, Linde Nijland, Lisa Knapp, Kamila Thompson, Karl Dallas and Vikki Clayton.

A great evening. It's a pity that Linda Thompson didn't sing and I don't quite know what Martin Carthy's set had to do with Sandy. The standout vocals for me were Lisa Knapp and Kamila Thompson.
Dear Philip,
Whilst remembering Sandy Denny on my blog yesterday I came across your site for the first time.
This is a superb creation and the variety of blogs will keep me reading for half a day. I've bookmarked your site to drop in regularly.
Sandy was remarkable and unique and thankfully there is so much of her work to enjoy, which in the final analysis is the thing that matters.
I managed to record the Bob Harris tribute lasty night and will listen later.
30 years has gone so damn fast!
Best wishes,
Neil the London Refugee
Philip,
Apologies...I should have signed in using my blog username.
Now done!

The place has a long history of folk music, you can read more about it here:

Hi,
I just posted a rare ticket stub on EBAY from Sandy's performance as the opening act for Loggins & Messina on their 1973 tour. She opened on two dates and this stub is from the May 4th, Berkeley Community Theatre performance. How many stubs from these rare solo U.S. gigs could possibly exist?
